Wood Engraving (1933). Original size 20.3 x 25.2cm. February is a time of relative inactivity for the farm animals. Many are housed in the barn, the ground still too frozen to permit release into the fields. Such work as hedging and hurdle making are undertaken at this time of year, and it is these tasks for which the farmer lops the willow.
