Linocut (1929). Original size: 23.5 x 27.8cm. Printed from four blocks, in yellow ochre, light blue, dark blue and black. This is Queen’s Hall, a concert venue completed in 1893 but bombed in the London Blitz of 1941. In Sybil Andrew’s hands the architecture and the faces below are patterns rather than accurate portrayals – a semi-abstract schema which brings out the beauty of the shapes and colours in this exceptional print.
Size: 27.5 x 33.0; paper 43.0 x 47.0cm.
Format: Giclée print, Limited Edition (1/850) on 310gms thick, 100% cotton rag. Hand-numbered and hand-embossed.
